Brad Edmondson is an award-winning writer, conference speaker, and consultant. Brad was editor-in-chief of American Demographics magazine and is the author of two books:
Brad has been an independent journalist since 1998, with regular magazine work for AARP The Magazine, The American Scholar, and other national publications. Recent consulting clients have included The Private Label Manufacturing Association, Head Start, and the National Bicycle Dealers Association. He is also co-founder of ePodunk.com.
Brad’s articles, presentations, and reports explain the impact of demographic and social change on businesses, communities, and not-for-profit organizations. He has spent more than 25 years covering such subjects as the aging of the baby-boom generation, changes in health and fitness behavior, and how America is being transformed by immigration. His recent work focuses on the movement to grow “socially responsible” businesses. During Brad’s tenure, American Demographics was nominated three times for the National Magazine Award for General Excellence.
Brad is a fourth-generation Floridian whose family runs a farm on Edmondson Road in south Sarasota County. An avid bicyclist, Brad rode across the northern tier of the United States in 2008, and across North Carolina in 2012. He attended Deep Springs College, is a 1981 graduate of Cornell University, and has served on several boards of directors. He lives in Ithaca, New York with his wife, Tania Werbizky.
